Marty & Friskie, an inseparable pair

Here we see both the happiness and the sadness of saying Good-Bye to one of your best friends when your time at H-3 was up.  Note the bright new stripes on Marty's arms in the second picture!

Marty and Friskie were two of the best Friends you would ever want to see.  They went everywhere together!  Even on the garbage run!

They took long walks around the site or even a swim sometimes.

Dress uniforms were almost unknown while you were at H-3.  About the only time you wore the "dress Blues" was when you were leaving to go home!

Friskie even trained Marty to find a throwing stick, and, if you remember H-3, you will remember how hard it was to find a stick!

When it came time to leave H-3, the pilot wasn't quick enough for Mary.  He was ready to take over the pilot's job.
