Multi-Tasking

H-3, being a rather small site with only a limited number of Airmen meant that we all had to wear many hats and do many different jobs, sometimes well out of the particular areas we were trained in.  As an example, here we have the orders which listed some of these different jobs some of the H-3 Officers and NCO's were assigned.

You may also note that H-3's mailing address was FPO 09571.  FPO stood for Fleet Post Office which was actually a US Navy mailing address.  Thus, H-3 was one of the very few sites in the USAF, possibly the only one, which actually had a Navy Address.  This is just one of the many things that made H-3 rather unique.
